Role Overview:

As an Officer in the AO & CS (Aircraft Operations and Customer Service) department, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the maintenance, inspection, and service schedules for the Ground Support Equipment (GSE). This includes ensuring that all equipment used for supporting airline operations, such as tugs, loaders, conveyors, and refueling equipment, are maintained in optimal working condition. You will also be responsible for ensuring proper documentation and record-keeping for all GSE equipment and coordinating with maintenance teams for spare parts requisitions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Daily and Scheduled Checks:

   • You will be responsible for conducting and recording daily and scheduled checks on all ground support equipment (GSE). This includes ensuring the equipment is in working condition and meeting safety standards before being used in airport operations.
   • All inspection and maintenance activities should be documented accurately in the Daily Inspection Record and other relevant logs.

2. Maintenance and Services:

   • Ensure that all GSE receives its scheduled maintenance as per the company’s standards. You will be responsible for coordinating the servicing of equipment, ensuring that they are ready for use when required.
   • The role also involves maintaining proper records of all services performed on the equipment, including History Cards that track the maintenance history of each piece of GSE.

3. Documentation:

   • You will manage and maintain critical documentation such as the Snag Book, Daily Inspection Records, and Equipment Inventory for all ground support equipment.
   • It is crucial that all records are accurate, up-to-date, and properly stored for future reference. These documents help ensure compliance with safety standards and streamline maintenance activities.

4. Coordination with Technicians:

   • You will collaborate closely with the Technicians to generate requisitions for spare parts needed for maintenance and repair of the equipment.
   • Effective communication between you and the technicians is essential to ensure that all parts are available and any repairs are completed efficiently.

5. Maintenance Reporting:

   • As an Officer in GSE, you will generate and circulate maintenance-related reports for the assigned station. These reports may include data on the status of equipment, repairs completed, or any upcoming maintenance schedules.
   • These reports will be shared with relevant stakeholders to ensure proper planning and the timely execution of required maintenance.

6. Fueling and Refueling Supervision:

   • Another critical responsibility is to supervise, check, and record the refuelling of all ground support equipment for the assigned station.
   • You will ensure that the refuelling process is carried out safely, accurately, and in compliance with aviation fuel standards and regulations.

7. Adherence to Safety and Quality Standards:

   • Ensuring that all activities related to the operation, maintenance, and documentation of GSE comply with safety regulations and internal quality standards is of utmost importance.
   • You will also ensure that all equipment is properly cleaned, maintained, and ready for immediate use in daily operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience: Previous experience in ground support equipment (GSE) operations or a related field is preferred, especially in a similar aviation environment. Candidates with prior experience in the maintenance or servicing of airport equipment will have a distinct advantage.

• Education: A relevant educational background in engineering, aviation, or any related field would be beneficial. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualifications is often required for this role.

• Technical Skills: Knowledge of GSE, its maintenance, and servicing is essential. Familiarity with equipment inventory systems, maintenance software, and the process of managing spare parts requisition will be beneficial.

• Communication and Coordination: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for collaborating with technicians, maintenance teams, and other stakeholders. You will need to ensure smooth coordination among different departments.

• Attention to Detail: Given the importance of safety and operational efficiency, a keen attention to detail and a methodical approach to documentation and reporting are essential qualities for success in this role.

• Ability to Work Under Pressure: The ability to manage time efficiently, handle multiple tasks, and prioritize duties in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment is crucial.

• Location: This position requires you to work at the Hyderabad Airport, and flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays, may be required.
